I wrote this song instrumentally to reflect on what my most favorite type of sounds in music were from back in the day when a more dynamic type of grunge and taste of angst had emerged on the scene and started taking over the airwaves. The lyrics of this song are about someone I never saw again, only leaving me to speculate what could have happened after the last time I saw them. This is very emotional for me to even think of, so I wanted to get it out of me instead of letting it just eat me alive day after day. This song helps me feel what all I am going through with this so I can let it go and let God do His Work.
lyrics
I tried so hard, so long
To try to find you
I tried to do
All of the things
I can do
I tried so hard, so long
To try to find you
I want you too
Know that I freakin' love you
I can’t
Stand myself when I’m without you
I can’t
Take myself out despite you
I can’t
Make myself alright without you
I can’t
Fake my way out this, alright dude
I can't/Again
I tried to find out where they take you
I can't/Again
I tried to find out where they made you
Do it (I can't/Again)
You want to get away, I know you
You want (I can't/Again)
To come home, you know that I love you
I tried so hard, so long
To try to find you
I tried to go through
The things
I can comb through
I tried so hard, so long
To try to save you
You told me no
Well, tell me
What did they do
They tried
Saying you’re dead, they lied dude
They tried
Playing dead, where did they hide you
They tried
Replacing what they can’t compare to
They tried
Coaxing, but I can’t without you
They cried
So why’d they take you in the first place
They cried
When I spit right the fock in their face
They cried
When we split up in two directions
They cried
So, what the fock was their affliction
I can’t
Stand myself when I’m without you
I can’t
Take myself out despite you
I can’t
Make myself alright without you
I can’t
Fake my way out this, alright dude
I can’t
I can’t/Again
I tried to find out where they take you
I can’t/Again
I tried to find out where they made you
Do it (Again)
You want to get away, I know you
You want (Again)
To come home, you know that I love you
