Clouds is a song written about the feelings of love, the hesitation to fall in love after you've been hurt, and what someone might think when they are falling for someone. In the chorus Chance says that he is doing the impossible and that he will never stop when he says, "Hanging onto every cloud, I ain't never coming down." You can't possibly harness a cloud, but in this song, Chance imagines that he can.
lyrics
Just to wake up next to her
It’s like a dream come true
She’s the reason I come back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I’m hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I’m hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I’m hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I like to keep it real
And choose never feel
She's the reason I understand
It’s like I have no cuts
Nothing to cover up
She’s the reason I choose to run
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
Running to her
Running to her
I’m running to her
Back for more
I'm steppin' outside my comfort zone
I can't ignore all the feelings you've shown
This is what I wanted, why let it go?
Inside all these feelings are losing control
Hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I’m hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I’m hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
I’m hanging onto every cloud
I ain’t never coming down
